1968 Fiat 500 Giardiniera -
Built by Fiat and spent time in Italy and the Netherlands before being purchased and imported to the US in 2018, this charming and useful variant of the hearty Fiat 500 is a pleasure to use.
It is finished in Teal green over a tan vinyl interior and powered by a rebuilt 499cc twin-cylinder engine, mated to a four-speed manual transaxle.
The car was refurbished under previous ownership in Europe. Service performed includes fluids changed, brake work, and a new battery, tires, and exhaust - included are the factory tool kit and jack.
The longroof Giardiniera was built by Fiat in 1966, and features on this example include aluminum ventilation grilles on the C-pillars, rear-hinged doors with sliding windows, and a full-length folding sunroof. The engine is located under a hinged panel in the cargo floor and is paired with a four-speed manual transmission.
