Arturo Magni joined MV Agusta in 1950 as the head of the company’s race program, he was in part responsible for 75 world championships and winning more than 3,000 races before MV closed its racing program in 1976 - having closed the company altogether in late 1977. Magni began building with proprietary modifications to customers’ MVs, and later to bikes left over from the end of MV production. Hallmarks of a Magni’s MV include an 861cc engine, a race-style frame, a Magni dry clutch and a Magni chain-drive conversion. This Magni is one of the first variants of this “Arturo Era bikes” - it presents as-new and is as among the most revered examples, complete with a large folder of records, awards and related material from the Arturo Magni era.
