In the 1970s and 1980s, Japan's design of motorcycle frame geometry lagged behind the engines technology, which meant that anyone who wanted to maximize the potential of an engine had no choice but to opt for cycle part specifically studied. Of the many aftermarket frame builders, few could compare with the genius of Bimota, who manufactured heating and ventilation ducts before the genius of three motorcycle enthusiasts (The company name is a portmanteau Bianchi Morri Tamburini) formed the legendary brand. Introduced in 1978 and available for a few years, eventually becoming the SB2 / 80 was exclusive, exotic and and expensive. This bike SB2 / 80, one of the 30 presumed built, in original unrestored condition, having covered only 7,000 km from new.
